maxon motor has R&D departments at its headquarters in Sachseln (Switzerland) and at its subsidiary in Sexau (Germany). They are run by highly qualified staff who, in addition to continually developing and improving products, focus on the ongoing development of production processes as well as production and inspection equipment.
Our development engineers and designers work with state-of-the-art tools and cutting-edge analysis methods, such as FEM and FMEA. Their day-to-day work involves calculating and designing drive components and coordinating them to a system. They can quickly come up with customer-specific solutions.
Every drive system is thoroughly tested during the development phase in a long-term test. Our comprehensive quality management system and state-of-the-art measuring and testing methods guarantee the required quality.
Our technological competencies include five winding techniques for micromotors, standard and special gearhead construction, injection moulding for plastic, metal and ceramic powder, encoder technology, electronics and systems engineering as well as assembly and automation technologies. We are continually expanding these expert areas in-house, but also work in conjunction with institutions, universities and industrial partners.
maxon's high level of innovation will stand us in good stead in the face of the growing demands of the rapidly developing drive technology market.
